How a little hero character can lead children to good kidney health
With “The Kidney Kid” programme, Fresenius Medical Care raises awareness for good renal health with the youngest in our society – our children.
The interactive programme was developed by Fresenius Medical Care to reach out to children and inform them about the importance of their kidneys and the crucial role kidneys play in their overall health. The main character “The Kidney Kid” thereby leads in a fun and entertaining way through different topics around kidney health and explains to the children how they can stay healthy.
The program - launched end of 2014 in Indonesia - found avid followers in the disadvantaged children at the Muslimin Jaya Orphanage as well as the Bina Anak Pertiwi Foundation where Fresenius Medical Care has organised an educational kidney health day.
More than 100 children attended these first two events, and
Fresenius Medicare Care as part of its Social Responsibility will continue to roll-out the programme also beyond Indonesia to help reduce the risk of developing chronic kidney disease.
